When an automated plan should stop.

Immediate danger is not a self-check question.Never put your hands or body between fighting cats or try to pull them apart. If a cat or person is in immediate danger, move away, use a solid barrier or closed door only if you can do so safely, and contact an emergency veterinarian or local emergency service as appropriate.

Pause direct contact and get the appropriate professional care when any of the following is present:

Seek individualized behavior help

An automated two-cat flow is not appropriate when the household cannot maintain secure separation, when more than two cats are involved, or when conflict continues to intensify. Ask your veterinarian for a referral or look for a qualified feline behavior professional.
